Laura Elliott, R.A.D.R.T.S., BA (Dance)
Laura started dancing at age 3, and hasn’t been able to stop since.
A graduate of the Professional Program with the School of Contemporary Dancers, Laura performed professionally across Western Canada until she shifted her focus to dance education in 2010. She received her Certificate of Ballet Teaching Studies through the Royal Academy of Dance in 2012, and plans to pursue her Masters in Dance Education in the near future.
Laura is an active advocate for the advancement and growth of the Manitoba dance community, including body diversity and fat visibility in dance and performing arts. She sat on the development committee and held the role of Principle Instructor at The Dance College of Manitoba, in addition to producing her own choreography (for both stage and screen). She sits on the Board of Directors for Dance Manitoba and is passionate about promoting dance education around the province.
